Protea Hotel Ikeja Select

I spent 7 days at Protea for Daddy Pius Olarewaju's burial. The room was clean, and the hotel itself was very clean too. Staff were friendly, courteous, and helpful. Breakfast was okay, and security was good. I’ll be back, and thank you for the hospitality 🙂🙏 A couple of things could improve: the washroom needs a hand towel, and breakfast could include more light options instead of mostly heavy meals.

The people made this stay feel personal. Toyin, Dunmininu Adebayo, Juliet, Esther, and Olimade were warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The rooms were clean, the food was good, and the care showed in the details. Protea Hotel Lagos Kuramo Waters is conveniently located on Victoria Island, close to everything but quiet enough to get proper rest. I travel a lot and have stayed at Marriott properties around the world as a Marriott Titanium Elite. This team really stands out. I’ll definitely return and highly recommend it.

The pool and restaurant areas were relaxing, and the location worked well for an airport transit stay. The staff were polite and attentive, often checking how residents were doing, and the service overall was good. Booking the dates through Marriotte was easy, check-in went smoothly, and the room I was given looked fine. It was a little dated, especially the bathroom and some of its furnishings. The safe was spacious and modern, but it wasn’t secured and could be moved around. I’m not sure if that was intentional.

The staff were courteous, and I liked the warm welcome at the door. Rooms were comfortable and had what I needed, including a smart TV with Netflix and other options. Breakfast had a good variety for both local and continental tastes. For a hotel in a well-known chain, I think it could do better. The internet connection could be stronger. They also only provide a toothbrush and toothpaste if you ask. Taking care of these small things could raise its rating to four or five stars in a future review.
