The Hedge Suites

The location works well, with parking inside and outside, though the place isn't wheelchair accessible. There are active fire extinguishers. The power stays on, either from the national grid or a generator. I come here often for a getaway. The lounge has a relaxed feel, cold AC, and lighting that can shift from bright white to cool blue. The outdoor bar is nice too. Their restaurant does good finger food, and the point-and-kill catfish, grilled or in pepper soup, is one of a kind. That's the one thing I'd recommend. Drinks can be very cold, less cold, or unavailable.

It's a private lounge, a nice place to hang out if you want fewer people looking your way. The restaurant is good. Your order may take 30 minutes, but it comes out fresh and hot. This isn't a fast food place.

It's a bit downbeat, but that hideout feel is what makes the place so good. It has the vibe of somewhere the boys go after robbing a bank, no kidding. The prices are very reasonable, and bikers come here too. When you need to chill, this is the spot. The chef is really good, so try the barbecue grilled catfish. The rooms are a decent size, and the staff are pleasant and courteous. But the bathroom facilities are very poor: the tap pressure is so low it's hard to get a proper shower, and the AC is in bad condition. Just okay overall. They should upgrade the rooms or cut the price a lot.
