George Residence Osapa

The water ran out while I was in the bathroom on the morning I left. Throughout the stay, requests and reports of problems seemed to lead to promises, but no follow-up, leaving me feeling that after paying, I was on my own. My first two-bedroom apartment was Cedarwood downstairs, where we kept having trouble with worms. After several complaints, they moved us upstairs to Maple, another two-bedroom apartment. The heat extractors there didn't work, the electric cooker was faulty, and the bedsheets weren't changed during our stay. The room was cleaned just once in the two weeks we were there. Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend George Residence in Lekki Phase 1.

The two-bedroom apartment I stayed in was about an 8/10, and the surroundings were calm and neat. It's right by the road, so getting there is easy. The compound is very small, though, which limits parking. Upbeat is only a stone's throw away if you feel like having fun.

For what short-term rentals actually cost, this place was worth at least twice what I paid. It's right in the heart of Lekki, and the receptionists were friendly and helpful. Check-in was quick and easy. The room and bathroom were spotless, the AC worked perfectly, and the internet was pretty fast. Great value for money.

The hotel itself was great, but whoever handles their contact needs to be replaced. Before I even arrived, I was promised a two-day stay at a stated price. I filled in the form and clearly wrote two nights. The trip there took only 25 minutes, but when I got there they suddenly said the room I was meant to have was sold out and asked me to pay more for a higher-priced room. I asked to pay for just one night first. Then the very next day they told me that room was sold too and I had to leave. Absolutely unacceptable.
