Jonaith Hotels & Suites

I went along because of the school, since it had booked the hotel for an end-of-term party. The hall was terrible, and the power kept going out for long stretches. I couldn’t believe how unapologetically bad the service was. At the gate, security said we couldn’t drive in. I suggested the driver drop us on the premises and then leave, but they insisted everyone had to get out by the roadside, on the MD’s orders. The MD was driving out at the time. It was my first time even passing by the hotel, and the customer service was on another level of bad.

My stay was a bad one, and I really can’t recommend this hotel. There were mosquitoes in the room and no waste bin. I had to ask for one countless times. There was no water to bathe with in the morning, and they refused to pump any. It took a serious confrontation before we got even one bucket of water. The service was much too poor for a hotel like this.

The surroundings and rooms are nice, and the customer relations are good. But I stayed for 3 days and there was no electricity all day, every day. We were left in the dark until the generator came on around 6 or 7 pm. Management should invest in solar, since they can run the generator for customers during the day. I don’t know why I’d leave home and pay to stay in a hotel, only to be in darkness. That’s not acceptable. This might be my last time here.

The room and bed were both small, and there wasn't even a toilet seat. When we asked reception for help, the wait was so long that we had to go downstairs and make a scene before anyone dealt with it. The place itself is spacious and nice, but the high room rate didn't feel justified. Maybe it was a one-off, but we didn't enjoy our stay at all.
