Francinesplace Hotel

During our training sessions, the two generators weren’t working properly, so we had repeated long outages. At one point the national grid failed for six hours and we were left completely in the dark. The manager did bring us a large power bank for our phones, though they had already shut down by then. That was a small bright spot amid everything that happened.

The room had two ACs and was really buzzing. I did have to call them to get the water pumped, but otherwise it wasn’t bad.

I stayed here on my wedding evening, and the director and staff welcomed and celebrated us like family. The reception was warm, the food was amazing, and the apartments were clean. Staff were friendly and professional. It’s a beautiful hotel in Uyo, suitable for an event, a stay, or just a bit of fun. I highly recommend it, and we’ll be back in a week to celebrate my wife’s birthday.

The gym was a letdown. Nothing in it works. WiFi also failed for all three nights, and the building and the technology behind its services feel old and out of date. Still, it’s spacious and does the job for a mid-priced hotel with mid-level service.
