De Brass Suites Hotel

At 8am the generator went off and didn't come back on before I checked out at 12noon. The hotel is old but still expensive. For a standard room costing 40,000, there wasn't even proper tissue. A definite no for me.

The hotel is right in the centre of town, but parking is very limited. We had to leave the car outside, which wasn't comfortable. I stayed in the Deluxe suite for 25k per night. It was just average, neither bad nor impressive. Power isn't available around the clock, and breakfast isn't included. Each room does have a mini fridge for storing drinks or food. There's plenty of room to improve the rooms, though one staff member kindly washed my car, which was a nice touch.

It's a decent, affordable hotel in the city centre, with different room rates to choose from. The rooms are good enough, customer service is okay, and the porters were courteous. Facility management needs more attention beyond reception. My sheets weren't changed twice in a row, and the duvet went unchanged for about three days, so I had to point it out. I also found cobwebs after the room had been cleaned for check-in. They sorted these things out after several calls.

I managed to stay two nights, but the hotel was below average. Water supply was irregular, the bathrooms weren't very clean, and the TV picture wasn't clear. The food was satisfactory. Room prices felt high for the service, especially since there are cheaper hotels around town offering about the same.
