They overbooked and told us through the booking.com chat, but wouldn’t cancel the reservation themselves because they didn’t want to deal with the cancellation consequences. The service was a joke. EDIT: It was no surprise when I learned they told Booking we hadn’t shown up. The funny part is they’d assured us over WhatsApp that they wouldn’t do that. Dishonest staff and poor communication.

We liked coming back late to a cool room, and there were plenty of pillows. The rooms are decent, though the Wi-Fi was a bit unstable. Late at night, the restroom water had been shut off, so we had to ask staff to turn it back on. They were always friendly. Parking inside is very limited, but they do offer laundry service and will wash all your clothes for a small fee. They take all cards, and calling to reserve costs about $5 less.

We made a reservation by phone for the last two days of our Nicaragua trip, and arriving late was no problem. The bellhop greeted us as soon as we got there and carried our luggage right to the room. Everything was spotless, with fresh towels, cool AC, and a pool with crystal-clear water. Breakfast was included and delicious. The area felt safe, with bars and restaurants nearby. My one complaint is that guest parking isn’t secure. I’ll definitely return on my next trip to Managua.

Update, June 6th, 2022: We stayed here last night and loved it. The staff were super friendly, we took several dips in the pool, and the rooms were spacious with great air conditioning. Before heading out, there were high quality complimentary breakfast items to choose from. The hotel also runs a top notch restaurant on site, with really great food. We’ll be back before leaving Nicaragua on this trip. On an earlier visit, we found the hotel close to the city center and mentro center, about 15 minutes from the airport. The pool was lovely, and the owner and staff treated our family kindly and made us feel welcome. Even with Nicaragua going through a hard time with political unrest and distrust of the government, we felt the country was still very safe, especially in the daytime and in major locations. We stayed away from protests and minded our own business. Walking around this neighborhood and going to local stores, bars, and restaurants felt very safe. Thank you!

The hotel itself is nice, and the location is good, with decent bars about three blocks away. Gabriela was especially kind and thoughtful. She called my room to ask what I wanted for breakfast, and when she didn’t know an address I was trying to find, she went out of her way to call friends and her boss for help. She found it for me, and I’m grateful. I didn’t see her again to say goodbye and thank her. I’m giving one star because of the other receptionist on Thursday morning, September 19th. She never smiled, played loud music at the desk, and made me feel ashamed in front of my two best friends. I’d brought them back after we ran errands at immigration, planning to change clothes in my room and wait for the sun to go down. She refused to let them in, saying I couldn’t bring guests to my room. I’d paid for two adults, and my friends weren’t staying overnight, just visiting for about an hour. I’ve always been able to register guests at other hotels. I go to Nicaragua every month and stay at good hotels, usually the Intercontinental or hilton, but those were overbooked this time. I’d never had an experience like this. I visit Nicaragua to see my friends, and I won’t stay here again if that woman keeps acting that way. The night guard was rude too. He never answered when I said good evening and opened the main door in a bad mood, so I stopped greeting him. The hotel could be good, but a terrible receptionist can make the whole stay terrible.
