I’ve organized surf trips for years and haven’t run into management this inflexible before. The camp wouldn’t refund my booking or offer credit toward another date, even during a holiday travel emergency. I know they have a policy, but the complete lack of goodwill was jarring, especially when many competitors offer that kind of courtesy. An airline error in Panama stopped me from entering Nicaragua on Dec 23rd. I spent 60 hours in transit over Christmas trying to sort it out. The camp was initially responsive about logistics, but its tone changed once it was clear I couldn’t arrive and was asking for help. I didn’t stay there, but I think you learn a lot about a business from how it handles things going wrong. Before booking, keep in mind that they require a 50% deposit through payment methods without the travel insurance protection that comes with standard credit card bookings. If peace of mind matters to you, I’d look at other camps with better guest support and rebooking terms.

A lovely spot to relax, with beautiful views, a great atmosphere, and really good facilities. The kitchen was amazing too. Raphaël, the owner, welcomed us warmly, and the manager was generous, kind, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Carla, who taught yoga and mobility, was kind and professional as well. We’d absolutely recommend staying here if you want somewhere peaceful with good service and nice activities.

We were walking around to see if we liked the place before making a reservation, and this guy came over with a really rude attitude. He said it was private property and we had to ask before walking around. The way he spoke to my boyfriend was awful. I know he was from Greece from his accent, but I don't think a bartender should act like he owns the place. If he’d just been nice and asked whether we were thinking of staying, then explained how the resort worked, we would’ve been fine with that. After how he treated us, we decided not to stay and rented a house nearby instead. Nasty human being.

The staff were all so kind and helpful, and we had a really great time. The hotel is beautiful, with an amazing view. We didn’t get a chance to surf, though they seemed very experienced. Thanks for a lovely stay, we recommend the place.

The waves were uncrowded and the food was great, which made for a five star stay. Everyone on staff was amazing, from the cooks and cleaners to the surf coaches and bartenders. They all went out of their way to make sure we had a great time.
