The staff were so lovely and helpful, and there was plenty to see around the property, including the farm animals. We had a beautiful home and were well placed for island activities. It would work well for a family, a couple, or friends traveling together. Finca Ometepe was an amazing stay, and I can’t wait to return.

The kids loved meeting the baby donkey and milking the goats. The owners know the area well, are friendly, and support local workers and the community. A great farm stay and a good base for exploring the island.

We’re already thinking about coming back. The best part was Luna, the lovely german shepherd who slept on our porch and came along on the farm walk like a tour guide. They made delicious breakfasts from the organic farm when we asked. The farm feels private and peaceful, and the rooms and kitchen are well equipped. The AC worked well, and it’s a short drive to balgue for restaurants. This place is pure magic.

The people at the finca were friendly and clearly cared about the farm and one another. They patiently explained things and helped with whatever we were interested in. We loved eating from the amazing organic farm and garden, and spending time with the animals. Or we could just sit and look toward the volcano and lake, with a gentle breeze keeping us cool. Such a magical place.

Hanna was glad to suggest guides for activities around the island. My favorite was climbing Volcan Concepcion on a clear, sunny day. Hanna, Håkan, and the staff were all so welcoming and helpful, and the place felt like a home away from home. Finca Ometepe was one of the best places I stayed during my Central America trip.
