Rositas Hotel

I've stayed here twice, and you really can't beat the price or what you get. Edwin was a gracious host and helped us sort out transportation. The rooms are clean, there's air-conditioning, and the hot showers are a nice plus. I'd give the service 10 stars if I could. Thanks to everyone!

The staff were friendly and really helpful, and we tried their laundry service, which was cheap and did a good job. The hotel is within walking distance of the beach and central streets, so what you need is close by. Our room was clean and comfortable, with hot water in the shower, even though it's pretty hot here. Good value for the money.

The hostel is just one block from the beach, with clean rooms, good beds, and cable TV. It's cheaper than other places nearby, and you can choose a rate with or without air-conditioning. The showers have hot and cold water, and the staff are nice. We lost power for almost 12 hours, and I was so glad I'd picked a place with a generator. Otherwise, I probably would have had to leave town. It felt safe, and they give you tips for avoiding theft on the streets and beach late at night. There's no parking, though you can leave a car on the street, and a security guard is there at night. Simply awesome!

Rositas fills a gap for families traveling on a budget. We got a clean, secure, comfortable room with AC, access to a community kitchen, and inexpensive breakfast on site. The staff were great, helpful, and friendly, and the rates are very reasonable. San Juan Del Sur seems to have lots of surf hostels with cheap beds and luxury resorts, but not many affordable options for families. If you're after luxury, this isn't the place, but I definitely recommend Rositas.
