We had a business dinner at this charming bar and restaurant in a picture-book little town with brick streets. The starter sampler was great, and the triple beer was good. My schnitzel was a bit overcooked and dry, though. The staff were very friendly. I assumed they were related and that it was a family affair, but it turns out they aren't.

Once I got settled, I had a great stay. The room was clean, well kept and a good size, the location was superb, and the staff were very friendly. The kitchen staff were especially helpful and looked after my luggage. The opening and check-in times were confusing, though. Check-in was listed as 1 pm, but the hotel didn't open until 3 pm. My flight landed at 11 am, and I'd been told I might check in at noon if the room was ready. Only the kitchen was open, so I left my bags there. I didn't get a virtual key until about 2 pm, by which time I'd already gone to explore the city.

The area around the hotel was the best part of my two-night stay. Groceries, restaurants and food trucks are all within walking distance, and the room was clean and comfortable. There's a nice restaurant and secure parking too. The whole town feels safe, lol. It's far enough from busy Amsterdam to be peaceful, but still an easy drive to the tourist spots. The staff were friendly, and I'd be glad to stay again. The shower has no door, which was a small annoyance. I'm also including two pictures of the beautiful area nearby.

The restaurant was great, with lovely staff and wonderful food. The hotel rooms were clean during our two-night stay. Our bathroom was small, but it worked fine for the short visit. Staying outside Amsterdam was nice for avoiding the hustle and bustle, while still being close enough that it didn't feel like we were missing out. I'd recommend this place.

Restaurant only. We stopped here for a quick bite on the way to our hotel at Schiphol, since we had an early flight the next morning. Nice place, really friendly staff, and the spareribs were so good 😁. I'll be back as soon as I can.
