A lovely family-home kind of stay in a beautiful town, with the forest and dunes not far away.

Breakfast was nicely prepared and brought to our room, where we had a table and chairs. The B&B is about a 10-minute walk from Alkmaar's city centre. Three people can stay, though it gets a bit cramped. The bathroom and toilet are shared with one other room, so you share them with at most two other people. Parking can be tricky in this residential area, where people live upstairs. We had a great stay.

For the price, the service wasn't good enough. The room was basic, the bedding felt poor quality, and the place seemed outdated. The tiny bathroom was completely unmodern. The host kept repeating that guests shouldn't turn on the light, spend too long in the shower, or walk noisily. 😟🤔 Don't go there!

What a letdown. The room in the attic, two flights of stairs up, was clean, but the house itself wasn't. The bathroom and toilet were shared, and there was no private sink. Breakfast was very meager.

The beach was a lovely bike ride away, and the location was top notch. It’s a charming bed and breakfast in a terraced house in a typical neighborhood, with everything you need and a great host.
