We enjoyed our stay, and the restaurants were excellent with very good food. The service was friendly and attentive, and the rooms were comfortable. A few things in the comfort room could have been better: the bathroom wasn’t as well maintained as I expected, the walls and door showed wear, and the closet door was awkwardly set against the wall and hard to open. We also missed having somewhere for more active games, like football or a similar sport. Aside from that, everything was very good.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and it’s impressive how well the hotel is organized for so many guests. Our room was clean and comfortable. There’s a wide choice at the buffet, everything is laid out efficiently, and drinks are included, which made the stay feel easy and relaxed. It’s a lively, welcoming place with loads to do, from the indoor pool and entertainment areas to evening shows and live performances. You’re never short of things to keep busy, so it works well for couples and families.

We had a brilliant stay, and I’d recommend the place to anyone unsure about booking. I’d read a few negative reviews and was skeptical at first, but they didn’t match our experience. Our room was clean and tidy, with everything we needed, though the toilet was very small to move around in. The food at the restaurants was surprisingly good quality. You can book a restaurant each night, which I’d recommend, and there are snacks at the snack corner between meals. MidTown Take Away is open from 22.00 to 24.00 for anything you need after hours. Service was prompt, and the staff were really friendly. There’s plenty for little ones, depending on their age and attention span: Mini Golf, Cinema, arts and crafts, animation, and a playground. The swimming pool was great, clean, nicely decorated, and quite warm. If someone says the water’s cold, they may have tried one of the pools called “cold”; this is a subtropical pool, after all. We checked in at 15.00, but the room wasn’t quite ready. The cleaning lady got straight to work, and reception were very apologetic. We’d booked a celebration decoration and a small present for our two-year-old’s birthday, and it was all done nicely.

We’d driven 100 km to get here and waited outside, but nobody said anything, so we drove in. Then the receptionist told us it was full and said maybe we could come back in an hour. There was nothing about this online. I hadn’t booked because you don’t need to for the Riviera. I’m so frustrated I can’t even put it into words.
