Right in the city centre, this is a distinctive little boutique B&B in a converted barge. The rooms are small but do the job, the shower is great, and there's a nice shared area with good facilities. The bed was fine for me, though I suspect it could feel tight if you're over 185cm. I'll stay again next time I'm in Amersfoort.

Staying at B&B Vita Nova felt like a little adventure, with all the conveniences and a lot of atmosphere. The breakfast was tasty, and the service was kind and helpful. It's a good place to stay in a historic city like Amersfoort. I hope I can stay there again when I'm back.

Elene's breakfasts are worth trying, with delicious artisan bread and fresh yogurt topped with fruit and grains. We stayed 4 nights in Vita Nova and had a lovely few days. The room had a comfortable bed and a nice en suite shower room. The boat is about a 10-minute walk from the bars and restaurants in beautiful Amersfoort.

Elene was a very hospitable host and made us a delicious, generous breakfast. The location was perfect for exploring this beautiful city. My wife and I had a memorable stay in this unusual hotel. Our room was small but cosy, clean and comfortable, and the double bed was so comfortable we slept like logs. The skylight and window let in plenty of natural light and air. We only wish we'd stayed longer, but we were on our way to Jever in Germany. We look forward to a longer visit next time.

The common room was a lovely bonus, with free tea you can serve yourself and a wood stove to sit by while reading. Everything was spotless. I had a great night at Vita Nova, and the breakfast is well worth recommending. They combine local products in a way that left me wanting nothing, and they're very flexible about dietary needs and requests. The room was bigger than I expected for a ship, and the shower was spacious too, much better than I'd worried it might be.
