The hotel is cosy and clean, with friendly receptionists and a good-sized, quiet room. I was happy with almost everything, but the pillow issue really spoiled my stay. There was only one pillow per bed, and because of my back pain I needed an extra one between my knees. I asked at reception, but she said there weren't any because the hotel was fully booked, without even checking. I found that ridiculous. I work in a hotel too, and know there's usually a housekeeping room with spare pillows and other things a guest might need. It seemed like she just didn't want the trouble. I would have understood if she'd been honest about not wanting to bring one. The bed and pillow were also too soft, so I didn't sleep comfortably. It was my first night away from my kids, after a year postpartum, and I was really looking forward to some decent rest. Such a small gesture from the staff could have completely changed my experience. If you want to take the bus into the city, the location isn't ideal. The buses come every half hour or every hour, and the stop is a seven-minute walk away. With a car, it's no issue: drive into the city and use a garage, where the capped daily rate is around 15 or 18 euros.

On January 28, a phone call with the hotel manager left us feeling outraged. The woman refused to give her name, raised her voice, and was extremely rude, even though we stayed calm and tried to explain our issue. When we politely asked who we were speaking with, she hung up on us. I hope the hotel gets back to us. Guests shouldn't be treated like this.

The rooms are spacious, clean, and cleaned daily. There's a TV with Netflix, YouTube, and a range of channels. As a Brit, I was glad to see BBC1&2, ITV, C4, and others. The staff were fantastic and helpful, and the place has everything you need. It's a little way from the city, but there's a bus stop five minutes down the road. The bus runs hourly and goes to the centre and station. My one complaint is having to buzz in every single time. You'd think the room card would get you through the entrance, but you have to call each time. It feels like a hostile design.

The price was very good, and the receptionists were always kind, helpful, and smiling. The rooms were lovely, with a modern bathroom and comfortable beds. There's even a coffee machine with capsules, and the coffee is a great house blend.

The room was spacious and clean, with a few cabinets for storage. The TV worked and was easy to connect a phone to, and the bathroom was clean with the soap supplies provided. The front desk staff were friendly, fast-food chains are just down the road, and the price is on the cheaper side. Getting here isn't much fun, and shops are a bit farther away. You'll need a bike or car to get around. Our showerhead didn't work properly, so we couldn't use it during our stay. The whole property is fenced in, and the key cards don't open the gate doors, so you have to ring the doorbell and wait for someone to let you in. For us, it's a 3/5. It's not luxurious, but it gets the job done for an overnight stop while traveling. The location seems best for truckers or people driving country to country, rather than a holiday. You get what you pay for.
