Holiday Inn Amsterdam

Breakfast was fantastic, and the people at both reception and the restaurant were really nice. Public transport is right beside the hotel. Our room was big enough for four, and the beds were comfortable. Still, the room and bathroom weren't clean. The bathroom floor and bathtub were dirty, and there were lots of stains on the bedroom walls, maybe from a drink someone spilled. They looked like they could've been wiped off with a sponge.

The cleaning team were friendly, and the room was cleaned well. Breakfast staff were helpful too, though breakfast itself was pricey and a bit tasteless, especially if you don't eat meat. The tram no longer stops there because of construction, but the bus, overhead train and metro are close by. They should also keep a better eye on how many guests there are compared with the tea, coffee and cups provided. Guests can call for the right quantities, of course, but the hotel should know who is staying.

The staff were lovely and helpful, from the reception desk to the waiters. The included breakfast was alright, but there wasn't much to choose from. The gym is there, though it's very small. Room cleaning got worse each day. Otherwise, it's a fine hotel.

We got in at 6:30am and they let us check in, which was great. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Public transport is right next door, though there's not much else around the hotel. A good place for a weekend stay.
