Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam - South by IHG

For a weekend, the room had everything I needed: a very comfortable bed, kettle, tea and coffee, shower products, and a hairdryer. It was clean and modern, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast offered lots of choice, and the coffee was great. The value for the quality was excellent. There are two big supermarkets nearby, and public transport connects well to both the city centre and airport, about 25 minutes to either. A really pleasant stay, thank you!

I came here hoping to relax, but left extremely disappointed. The room hadn't been cleaned properly, and I even found a used pad under the bed. That's unacceptable and points to a serious lack of hygiene and attention. Cleanliness is the bare minimum for somewhere to stay. Experiences like this seriously hurt trust and reputation.

The area felt quiet and safe in the evening, with shops and a supermarket just outside. Transport is convenient: the tram stop is two minutes away, the Museums Quartier is 15 minutes off, and the city centre takes about 20 minutes. It's also three stops from Station Zuid, which is six minutes from Schiphol. Breakfast covers the main continental options. The seating area is a little small and can feel crowded at peak times, but staff cleared tables quickly, so it wasn't a problem.

After the problems at our original property, Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam - Schiphol by IHG, we were moved here late at night. That room had smelled strongly of cigarettes and was overbooked, with no other rooms available. At this hotel, check-in went smoothly because the front desk had been contacted ahead of time, which we appreciated at that hour. Our room was clean and had no smoke smell or other odor. They also arranged a free taxi to the airport from the previous property the next morning, which helped make up for the trouble of transferring.
