Hotel Pegasus

The main drawback was getting to the station. It’s a bit far, and with limited public transport in Apeldoorn and no taxis available, we had to walk about 30 minutes at night. Apart from that, everything was great. The hotel has an old classic style that I love. It was very clean, warm and cozy in winter, with excellent heating. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and our room had everything I needed, including a fridge and hairdryer. We also had access to a terrace. Breakfast felt special, with fresh warm bread and delicious jams. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

Such a charming hotel, with a personality like its host. I can’t stand those so-called modern luxury beige boxes with no character, and this place has plenty. The neighborhood was lovely and quiet, full of trees and birds, and parking was free. Our bed, sheets, lighting, balcony, and shower and bath were all good, and the service was Super Friendly. What more could you want? Nothing. All good and pleasant.

We ended up in the green parlour room, and the balcony was phenomenal. The bed was comfy, the chairs lovely, and the room’s detailed decor made it feel like a break from ordinary modern life. On arrival, the staff kindly showed us two rooms in the "deluxe" price class and let us pick our favorite. My only small gripe was the bathroom mirrors. One let you see yourself on the toilet, which isn’t the most flattering angle, at least for me. A great place if you want more than somewhere to sleep for the night and enjoy being taken back to Victorian time.

I felt right at home in this lovely Victorian style hotel, almost like stepping into a time machine or fairytale. The Canadian guy at reception was very friendly, and the mini bar prices were low. There’s a cute house cat, a big breakfast, and the shower had a good water stream. An electrical car charging point is a 2 min walk away. Of course, an old house like this has its sounds.
