We were made to feel like special guests by the friendly, helpful staff at Buitenplaats. The forest lodge was clean, with a very comfortable king-size bed and a small but perfectly usable kitchenette, including a fridge and tea and coffee facilities. We were there with our bikes, and the location was great for riding around Hoge Veluwe National Park, its network of trails, and the modern sculpture museum and gallery. We also cycled into Arnhem, crossed the famous bridge, followed the dike along the Rhine’s south bank, then took the cycle ferry back to the north bank. Brilliant, and we barely scratched the surface of the nearby rides. Il Lupo is a five-minute walk through the trees. The restaurant serves delicious dinners and hearty breakfasts, with excellent coffee.

We had a perfect weekend away. The natural setting is beautiful, and the cabins are cozy, clean, luxurious, and really well equipped. I ate at Il Lupo every night, and the food was delicious. The staff there were very friendly. I’ll definitely come back!

The cabin was a peaceful place to unwind in nature, with parking close by and lots of ways to enjoy the surroundings. We didn’t try the restaurant. One thing that bothered me was that checkout isn’t possible before 8AM, which is inconvenient if you need to get somewhere.

Our car broke down, and the team helped us from the moment it happened. Şenol even drove us to the nearest gas station so we could buy things to try to fix it. When that didn’t work, they let us wait in the hotel restaurant after we’d checked out, even though it was closed, and someone stayed with us the whole time. They also offered to take us to the train station. The hotel’s lofts are beautiful, breakfast is delicious, and it’s really close to the Kröller Müller museum. We couldn’t recommend the place more. A heartfelt thanks to the whole team for such wonderful service.

Waking up to a full view of trees was really special. The cabins are beautifully designed, peaceful and private, with nature all around. Staff were helpful, parking is nearby, and the restaurant food was great. There are plenty of places to take a quiet walk. Highly recommend.
