A good choice for a city trip to Assen, especially for one night. The room was large and clean, nicely decorated, and the owner was friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and breakfast was great. I didn’t like that the bathroom door couldn’t be closed, so there was no lock or privacy. Also, there’s lots of room, so why is the breakfast table so tiny? A bigger one would be welcome.

Monique, the owner, was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the covered, secure bike storage was handy. We stayed one night at In de Kloosterhof in mid-August 2023. It’s right across from the city center and the Drents Museum, in a historic building that’s been fully renovated. Our room was elegant and comfortable, and breakfast was delicious, generous, and brought right to the room. WiFi worked well. A delightful place in a delightful small city.

We came to this lovely town for the special exhibition of Antonio Lopez, and the BnB is directly across the street. Our room faced the main road, but it was actually very quiet. We really enjoyed the breakfast trolley!

Terrible service. We had booked a room, but later got a message saying it had been booked for someone else. I wouldn’t recommend it at all.
