The hosts were so caring, and the place was lovely. Even in the middle of winter, the lawn was green and the flowering plants were clearly well looked after. The little outhouse sits in their backyard, with a small pond and two swans for company. We found everything just right.

Breakfast was tasty, though I would've liked a bit more variety. The family's long, leafy garden made the spot feel quite private, even though the house is in their backyard. The house and garden are adorable, with swans, ducks, and chickens around.

A lovely cottage with lovely people. Everything was brilliant, and the beautiful windmill museum is nearby.

Parking was the one snag. You can't leave your car on the property, which is on a busy road, so if you'd rather not park there, you need to go a little farther away. Inside, the cottage was clean and the bed was good, with a pleasant private garden to sit and unwind in. The hosts are lovely and greeted us with smiles and useful tips on places to visit. It really had that holiday feel. Breakfast was delicious, with warm rolls, croissants, juice, eggs from their own chickens, and good toppings.
