The breakfast service was excellent, and we loved relaxing in the lounge after dinner. The room was beautiful, the staff lovely, and the grounds were great for a walk, with pigs, chickens, and more. One small thing: the Sky Music radio during breakfast felt unnecessary and didn’t quite suit the quiet, romantic atmosphere we were hoping for.

We were welcomed around 4:30 PM with a lovely aperitivo, tasty bites, and refreshing drinks. The spacious room was spotless and beautifully put together, and the soft, comfortable bed made for a great night’s sleep. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including freshly baked bread, sweet and savory toppings, creamy yogurt, and crunchy granola. It was all generous and thoughtfully prepared. We enjoyed every minute at Landgoed Halsaf and would love to come back.

The hostess was incredibly kind, and we’d definitely return. This old estate sits in a lush forest, with a calm atmosphere where you can hear nature. The rooms are all different, with stylish Victorian decor. The bathrooms feel much more modern and have everything you need. Downstairs, the lovely shared rooms are a nice spot to have a drink, put on some records, and mingle with other guests. Breakfast was fine and filling.

We spent an unforgettable weekend at Landgoed Halsaf for our mom’s 65th birthday. The estate has a rich history, and its peaceful natural setting gave the place a touch of royalty. The personal attention made it feel even more special. The highlight was a delicious three-course menu prepared by a talented chef, with each dish paired with fine wines that the host introduced thoughtfully.

The scenery here feels magical, and the staff showed such humanity when I was in a pinch and needed a room. They helped me work out how to continue my journey, including how to reach the train station, where it was, and how to get food delivered. They also found me a beautiful room in a beautiful place.
