Corendon Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Our flights were cancelled, so we ended up staying here involuntarily for four days during the snow “storm” 😅. As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I was pleasantly surprised, since I’d expected a budget airport hotel. The rooms were very clean, modern, and fairly spacious. There’s a really nice gym and a large indoor pool, and the staff were super friendly. I was happy with every meal I tried. Thanks for making a disrupted trip and all its headaches a little more comfortable.

Monica gave me a first-class facial in the spa, friendly and professional throughout. The restaurant was great, breakfast was delicious, and everywhere was spotless and smelled lovely. The hotel itself was beautiful, with an excellent room and lovely staff. We’d like to thank everyone who helped make our anniversary weekend wonderful, from the shuttle driver and receptionists to the restaurant team and cleaners.

I want to thank Badr and the front desk team. After a long, exhausting day, their kindness and patience meant a lot. My flight was delayed, I missed my connection, the rebooked flight had incorrect information that kept me at the airport another five hours, and my luggage was lost. I’d also accidentally booked the wrong hotel date through Booking.com. Badr stood out by actively offering different options and genuinely trying to help during a stressful moment. I just needed somewhere proper to rest for a little while, and they helped me do that. The hotel is nice and clean, with easy access to transportation. I really appreciate the support and highly recommend it.

The room was fine, and the airport shuttle was a useful extra. Beyond that, the service didn't match the price, and they seem massively understaffed. Staff were working hard, but there weren't enough of them. At the dinner buffet, tables took a long time to clear, there was a lot of waiting to be seated because the person guiding guests was helping with cleanup, and glasses took a while to restock. The buffet wasn't worth the money. The skybar was a joke: we waited ages for drinks, the cocktails were mostly ice with very little drink, and after half an hour they said they were out of my whiskey. The replacement whiskey came with ice, seriously? Check-in also requires the PIN for your credit card because they charge a 50€ deposit per room. Luckily I knew mine, though I don't need that PIN anywhere else. They also spam you like crazy despite having no authorization to do so. Don't forget to unsubscribe, and hopefully that works.
