Topparken Recreatiepark Beekbergen

The rooms were dirty, the fridges smelled awful and didn't look like they'd been cleaned, and there were ants on the kitchen counter. The bikes for rent were expensive and didn't seem to hold a charge, the infrared "sauna" keys didn't fit the locks, and traffic by the available cabins was loud. At the restaurant, staff seemed to be hurrying us out. I couldn't finish a drink before someone was almost right beside me asking if I wanted something else, but they didn't offer a menu or even food. The front desk staff seemed completely indifferent, even if someone right in front of them were about to burst into flames. We were terribly glad to get home and relax. This was anything but a pleasant stay for us. Avoid at all cost!!

The only downside to the very modern park and houses was the heat pump's indoor unit in our house. It was in a bedroom closet, and when it started up it made too much noise for comfortable sleeping. The houses are nicely spread across the park, which is very nice and modern.

The stay itself was pleasant, with a quiet setting that worked well for our family, and the restaurant Grand cafe was good. The outdoor pool felt small compared with some other topparken. On our first day, we found waste outside the holiday home. I sent feedback about it but didn't get a response.

This park is a fun mix of glamping and tiny house living, with your own little house, terrace and garden. Dogs are welcome, and there's a free-run area for them with agility obstacles. Kids have playgrounds and a pool area too. The nearby forest is lovely for a walk. You'll love it!
