We slept so well here, and the nights are genuinely quiet. Breakfast was a real treat, with plenty to eat and good care taken with dietary needs. The B&B feels warm and nostalgic, but has everything you need, plus lots of room and privacy. The owners are welcoming and easygoing, and there’s no pressure to do anything at all. It’s set in a lovely area with a distinctive history. Walk around the fortress, stop at the local restaurant, or pick up honey from the neighbors. There’s plenty more to discover if you take it all in. A lovely base for exploring the area.

I only stayed one night at Tjerda and Jan's, but I’d happily come back. The place was spotless and beautiful, with an old-fashioned feel, and I slept really well. Breakfast was delicious too. Jan and Tjerda are lovely people, and they gave me such a warm welcome. Thanks so much, you two! Best, Ferdinand 🏍

After our hiking day, the owner promptly picked us up and took us to the start of the next stage. They could also take us to a restaurant for dinner if we wanted. That was excellent service. We could relax in the large backyard with a drink and something sweet or savory, with friendly service, weather permitting. The sleeping space is tidy and up in the “attic” of this authentic building, with a roomy bed, lots of closet space, a television, and a desk. The washing and shower facilities are modern, though unfortunately they’re downstairs. Breakfast was generous and full of vitamins, and the coffee tasted just right.

The breakfast was excellent, and the owner was friendly. The B&B is clean and spacious, in a historic building in a fortified village. I’d recommend it.
