Landgoed Huize Glory

The hotel has its own bar and restaurant, and we found it very clean with really helpful staff. The beach is nearby, about a 10-15 minute walk, and there are lots of walking routes through the surrounding forest. The town, with restaurants and bars, is fairly close too. It's a good fit if you want somewhere quiet. If you're after nightlife and late nights, this isn't the place for you.

The area is amazing and the location is hard to beat. Service and breakfast were great, and the receptionist was lovely, sharing information about the hotel's history. The beds had very cheap mattress toppers, though, and I nearly fell out twice when shifting during the night. A great hotel, but perhaps best for just 1-2 nights.

The room had high ceilings and grand windows, with the soft sea air and breeze around us. I usually sleep badly on the first night in a hotel, but had no problem here. The beds were comfortable, the coffee was the best in Holland, and the service was friendly. Tucked behind lush forest, it's only a 10-minute walk to the beach. There are only a few rooms, so book as soon as you can. A real hidden gem.

The best part is the huge estate around this early 20th century castle-style house. You can wander through the woods and dunes, and there's a playground in the forest for kids that you can see from the terrace. The view from up there is lovely, and you can see the North Sea. Inside, the hotel has really nice rooms and beds.
