The food was alright, but the service was poor.

The breakfast was genuinely worthy of four stars, with nothing to complain about there. My comments are only about the apartment we rented, number 326. We couldn’t see it before booking and didn’t get to view the other hotel rooms, so I can’t speak for those. Apartment 326 felt run-down and dilapidated, and it didn’t seem worthy of a supposedly four-star hotel. The carpet was so dirty I wouldn’t walk on it barefoot, and the curtains looked as if they hadn’t been washed in years. We’ve paid a third as much for apartments that were at least decent and clean.

A very relaxing stay, with friendly staff and a customer-focused approach. The location is right in the heart of Bergen, and it’s great value for money.

The restaurant is good, and I’d especially recommend the three-course lunch menu.
