Villa Prinsenhof

The layout is practical, and the spacious balcony is just right for two. We’ve stayed here three times now and have always been very satisfied. At Villa Prinsenhof, the beds are comfortable and everything is spotlessly clean. It’s close to the town center and just a few minutes on foot from a supermarket, while the surroundings stay wonderfully peaceful.

Everything was clean, and there were fresh towels, dishcloths, and tea towels, plus a new dishwashing brush. The location is great, very close to the town center. The toaster, kettle, stovetop, microwave, and bathroom vanity are rather old and worn, and the light switches need attention.

The room was clean and the beds were excellent. There was no towel service, and the bathroom taps only had cold water, though the shower was fine. The villa looks lovely from outside, with a nice garden all around, but the rooms are very dated and dingy. We still had a great time in Bergen.

The outside and location are the good parts, and the garden is lovely. Beyond that, the place was awful. The house isn't maintained, and the rooms and apartments are run-down, dirty, moldy, smelly, and nothing works. There was basically no one to speak with. The person presented as a contact couldn't speak the local language, German, English, or French. The keys are accessible to anyone, and the price-performance ratio is completely unacceptable. Parking costs €10 per day.
