Landal Waterparc Veluwemeer

There’s a lot to do nearby, from Walibi Holland, one of the Netherlands’ best amusement parks, about 10-15 minutes by car, to Amsterdam roughly half an hour away for a city break. Harderwijk is also 10-15 minutes away, with plenty of places to eat and see, the Dolphinarium, and a walled old center. For families, there are two more restaurants by the lake, just a 2 minute drive or 10 minute walk away, plus a waterskiing school that’s great for children 10+ and adults. The park itself is in a great spot on the Veluwemeer lake. The houses are spacious and each has parking for two cars. On site there are only a few children’s playgrounds, but park tenants get free entry to the indoor and outdoor pool and water playground literally across the road. There’s also a supermarket and a restaurant with a great terrace, handy for children and pet owners. I highly recommend it for relaxing with family, with nearby options for lots of tastes and preferences. I’ll definitely go again.

The houses are great and the place is really nice. Older kids might find it a little boring.

We arrived to a filthy oven, dirty dishes in the cupboard, dog hair across the carpets, and poor maintenance around the house. We didn’t make a fuss at the time because we were out most of the holiday. Then Landal deducted €50 from our deposit over clean dishes left in the dishwasher, and accused us of leaving things dirty or in poor condition that had been that way when we arrived. We regret not taking photos as evidence. The whole experience was deeply disappointing and unacceptable. It feels like Landal is making extra money from unusually high deposits and blaming guests for mess left by previous visitors. Customer care clearly isn’t a priority. We’ll never book with Landal again, and urge others to think twice before staying at any of their properties.

I’ve stayed here many times. It’s a great park for relaxing and having a good time with children.
