The park was a real hit with our kids. They loved the pony sessions, laser games, crafts and indoor playground, and the pool was clean, roomy and well kept. The spray park was fun for the little ones too. Staff were friendly, especially the girls running the pony workshops, and we had excellent food at Het Land van Bartje Family restaurant. The stay in cottage 445 was a letdown, though. We noticed a strange smell as soon as we arrived, and it stayed even after we cleaned, mopped and tried candles. The bathrooms felt dated, had an odd layout, and the toilet smelled like a bar toilet. There were squashed wasps left on the windows, plus underwear packaging under a blanket. We’ve stayed in “luxury” houses at several other Landal parks and had a much better experience. It’s a shame, because the park and activities are lovely, but the accommodation really spoiled the trip.

The beds were comfortable, and the shower had decent pressure. The forest nearby made for a nice setting. The accommodation was okay, though it wasn’t very clean and the kitchen was missing a lot of things. There was only one knife that was sort of sharp and a flimsy cutting board. Overall, fine.

The playground and pony ranch were fun, and the forest was great for a 10 km hike. The swimming area, though, was under construction, so it was tiny and crowded. We moved the beds and found a pacifier underneath. So much for the cleaning.

A nice choice for a short break with young kids. There are lots of good playgrounds, and we enjoyed the 18-hole Par 3 golf course and its driving range. The pool has slides, and the restaurants and cafes had excellent, friendly service.

We had a fun stay, especially with the great playground and wonderful pony riding programmes. The pool was good too, even though only the outdoor one was open. The weather was still fairly nice, but the draft made it freezing, and you could see lots of children shivering. The houses could be cleaner, and we thought the service could be friendlier as well. It’s a holiday place, after all.
