Gasterij Hotel Dennenoord

The hotel has a lovely, homely feel, with spacious, comfortable rooms and a wonderful breakfast. We’d recommend it to anyone. We’re Canadian and would have appreciated a dresser for unpacking, since living out of a suitcase for five days was a bit difficult. I gave the location four stars because we were visiting family, and their place was too far away to walk to.

We went to Boxtel for a weekend festival and stayed at Gasterij Hotel Dennenoord. The town is small, so finding a taxi on Sunday was tricky, but the owner kindly offered us a ride. The care and service for guests really went above and beyond. Our room was spacious, the bed super comfortable, the amenities were good, and breakfast was delicious. This was the best hotel of our European trip so far, and we hope to come back 😊

Once I’d checked in, the owner was extremely pleasant and helpful. She arranged my evening meal, which came from outside the hotel, and was able to put it on my room bill. The place is small, hard to find, and has no restaurant or bar, so I wasn’t sure when I first arrived. My room was warm and comfortable, and I had the best night’s sleep. Highly recommended.

What stood out most was the service. Iris, the owner, replied quickly by email before we arrived and helped with our questions about getting to and from a music festival. This family-run inn even offered us a ride one way and took us to the train station at the end of the trip. The place is clean and modern, right in the countryside, and breakfast was included. The hair dryer was great, too.
