To me, this is the perfect boutique hotel, set in a lovely little town with great bars and restaurants.

The room was very clean and comfortable, and the hotel itself is gorgeous and centrally located. We love this little village, and this hotel is the icing on the cake. Three staff members we spoke with were all efficient and engaging, and made sure everything was okay. They made us feel very welcome, and we'd gladly come back.

The beds were super comfortable, the service was good, and breakfast was okay. The rooms and the whole building's interior look beautiful, fresh, and stylish, though there was quite a bit of dust. One thing to keep in mind is that the shower was in the room itself, without a separate bathroom. That felt pretty uncomfortable travelling with family, though I guess it would be fine for a couple. I think we'll return when we're back in town, but we'll choose our room in advance.

The room was beautifully designed, with a comfortable bed, and the location is great for nearby restaurants. It's a beautiful little place with friendly, professional staff and fantastic breakfast service. Highly recommend.

The bed was super comfortable, and I loved the huge bath. The wood and leather furniture and the brass and marble in the bathroom show how much care went into The Poorter. It’s a beautiful little hotel right in the historic city centre, with the 16th-century ceilings still in place after the careful renovation. Luxury really is in every detail. Oh gosh, this hotel is fabulous!
