We were hesitant after reading the Google reviews, but the B&B turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The owners are very friendly, the room is cozy and comfortable, and the bathroom is lovely. The bed could be better, though it was fine for one night. The sheets and towels were spotless. The room was a little warm, but the fan worked well. There are no mosquito screens, yet we didn’t have trouble with insects. In good weather, there’s a nice place to sit overlooking the riding arena. About the mark by the toilet mentioned in an earlier review: it’s probably glue left where the broken toilet roll holder came off. The holder is now on the floor, which is no big deal. It’s a pleasant B&B, and you know in advance that breakfast isn’t included. You can always have breakfast by the sea. A good place for the price.

It’s a quiet, pleasant location for a B&B, though breakfast isn’t included. The room works fine for a night, but calling it a “Deluxe room” feels like a stretch. It heats up quickly because of the low, partly sloping ceiling, and there’s just one small window that opens. There’s no screen on that window, which really seems necessary at a riding stable.

Castricum is a pleasant town, and we had a really good time. The room was great, with a comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom and shower. The woman who helped us with the key and showed us the room was very friendly.

We had a wonderful few days in a spacious room that can sleep up to six. The shower and toilet were lovely, and the surroundings were beautiful and peaceful without feeling too quiet. The kitchen supplies weren’t complete and could have been replenished.
