The park was relatively quiet, despite having a varied mix of people, from young to old, which was nice. The homes are quite close together, though some spots are more secluded than others. Lots of things are automated, which can make a short stay challenging. Staff were helpful and accommodating.
The nature here is beautiful, with a lovely pond and small deer and other non-aggressive wild animals running in the forest. The houses have mosquito nets on the windows and entrance doors, so if a mosquito appears, it'll be outside, while the air in your apartment stays clean and free of annoying insects. In my opinion, it's a very nice, cosy place to live and relax. I recommend using this company's services.
We had a great time with the family. We're not the biggest campers, but it was a fun experience anyway. The service was lovely and the food was great. There were events and things for the kids to enjoy, and there's a forest nearby too.
Residence de Eese was a lovely surprise. We enjoyed a day walking in the woods and another visiting Giethoorn, and we're back in Oxford now, but the kids keep asking to go on the 'bouncy pillow'. The site has so much for families: an air trampoline, a large outdoor pool and a separate little pool that suited my 3 and 4 year olds, a sizeable indoor soft play area, a mini carousel, ponies, alpacas, an emu, guinea pigs, various birds, a mini train, and at least three play areas. It was all included. There were very few cars around, so the kids could whizz about on their bikes. The accommodation was nice and came with hand soap, tea towels, dishwasher tablets, and a fully equipped picnic basket, which was a nice touch. The only drawback was check-in and check-out. We planned to arrive around 6, but got a call at 2:30 on Sunday asking if we were still coming because check-in closed at 4, so we had to abandon our afternoon plans and get in the car. We tried to check out at 7:30 in the morning to catch the ferry, but the office was closed and there was no box or slot for the key, so I left it balanced on the door handle. For such a large site, I think they could offer later and more flexible check-in.
