The best thing about De Buteriggel is where it sits. You can barely get closer to the sea, and both the beach and the center of De Koog are right nearby. That's why we chose it, and the location didn't disappoint. Apartment No. 1 had all the basics for a vacation, but it felt neglected and dated throughout. At this high price, we expected it to be much better maintained. The refrigerator was broken inside, and there was mold on the ceiling of the upstairs bathroom, which is both unpleasant and a hygiene concern. You're paying mainly for the location, and for Apartment 1 the price doesn't match what you get. We hope it gets renovated soon, since the location by itself can't justify the cost for long.

The view and being close to the beach are what earn this place a three from me. The apartment was much too expensive for what was there. I found dust in the corners and on the light above the bed, black sand-covered window frames, and a coffee maker with mold on it. The refrigerator was broken and filthy around the hinges and drawer, among other things.
