I ended up at "Duinhotel Texel" for my stay on Texel. It's a 12-room hotel just outside the center of De Koog, close to the dunes and beach. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I could park my car there. The upper floors are only reachable by stairs.

We stayed over Christmas and found a Christmas card and chocolates waiting in our room when we arrived, such a sweet touch. The hotel was lovely and clean, and the owners were extremely kind. The owner also made us a delicious, very varied platter of cheese, meat, and fish.

The owner was very friendly, and the rooms were clean. Breakfast was basic but good. The location was nice, about 200m from the national park, beach, and dunes.

Really friendly staff and amazing breakfast! Everything was well organized, and it's a perfect place for a vacation. You can get nice views within five minutes by bike!
