We had a lovely stay while visiting family on Texel. De Koog is about 3-5 minutes around the corner, and the beach is about the same distance away. Parking was easy to access. Breakfast was great, and the bathroom was comfortable and nice. There’s also a small fridge for keeping drinks cold.

Our one-bedroom suite had a very comfortable bed and pillows, and it came with all the essentials. The Texelse products in the bathroom were a nice touch. Everything is digital, so not having to carry a key was great. Communication starts before check-in, and questions get answered quickly. The wifi was fast and reliable. The beach and bike rentals are close by, with lots of restaurants about a five-minute walk away. We didn’t have breakfast, though it can be ordered. Definitely recommend for couples.

One thing to know before you arrive: there’s no front door key or room key. You open the doors through your mobile phone browser, which could be tricky if you’re not used to that. Keep your phone charged. The location is excellent, just behind the dunes and close to the village center. The rooms were just as shown in the pictures, with modern furnishings, and they were clean and fairly quiet. The bathroom was nicely furnished and very clean too. There’s a little terrace outside the room with two comfortable chairs and a small table. Parking is behind the house.

We stayed for four nights and really liked the room. Breakfast was served across the street at the Grand Hotel Opduin, and the buffet was excellent.
