Hotel Tatenhove Texel

The view from the room was superb, and the staff were great. Breakfast was amazing, with every kind of option you might want. The location is excellent, about a six-minute walk from the center, and there’s enough free parking. We stayed for a weekend in April; the room was just right, with a large comfy bed, working heating, and a clean bathroom with enough amenities. The TV was a little small, but that wasn’t a big deal.

We liked being able to rent bikes right at the hotel, and the aviary on the front lawn was fun to see. Hotel Tatenhove is well placed on the island, and we’d happily stay again if we return to Texel. Our room was a good size, clean, and well equipped. The hospitality was excellent, from housekeeping through to the delicious breakfasts.

The garden is a lovely place to sit, watch birds on the lake, and wake up to their calls. It’s about a 15-minute walk to a nice center and around 30 minutes to the beach. A great place to stay.

You feel as if you’re staying on a large private estate, even though the location is convenient. The service was amazing, the food was excellent, and the rooms were great too. What an excellent hotel.
