The beach is only a few minutes away on foot, and cafes and places to eat are just around the corner. The host is a cheerful, lovely lady.

We spent a long weekend here and found the staff nice.

The owner clearly enjoys taking care of her guests, and serves the included breakfast herself. There’s plenty on the table, and you can just ask if you’d like something else. This is a lovely guesthouse right in the center of De Koog, a good choice if you don’t want a hotel or need or prefer to spend less.

We had everything we needed, and the hostess listened closely to our requests. She even surprised us with delicious cake twice. The breakfast was plentiful and really tasty. Our room had a coffee machine and coffee, a kettle, a fridge with a freezer compartment, and a spacious bathroom with a great bathtub. It was roomy enough to eat at the table, which was especially useful during COVID times. The only small downside was some noise, though it didn’t bother us. We could park for free right in front, which was handy since parking in built-up areas all over Texel is paid. The place is close to the beach, with a little shopping street full of takeaway places and cafes around the corner. A super stay, thanks!
