Restyled Country House With Dishwasher, on Texel Near the Sea

We loved unwinding in the pool and sauna after our outdoor activities, and went every day. Pool access is free for park guests, while the sauna costs extra. The one drawback is that the pool shuts at 18:00, which felt a little early. The park’s location is very good, beside the forest and beach, and not far from the large supermarkets and MTB bike rental in de Koog. I live on the island, though far from de Koog, and found this park stood out for price and facilities when I was looking for somewhere for our group of more than 10 friends. It exceeded my expectations. The chalets and bungalows were newly renovated, well equipped, and furnished with good quality items. Staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

This was my second stay. The first time there were no issues, but this time everything was filthy. The floors hadn’t been cleaned, there were cobwebs on lots of ceilings and lamps, and the shower walls were covered in hard water spots. The showerheads and dishwasher had mold, and after one use the dishwasher stopped working and started showing error codes. On the plus side, the bed was clean, the staff were friendly, and the WiFi was usable, though not the fastest. There was also a TV, swimming pool, and the park is well positioned on the island.

The layout of the houses is playful, the location is nice, and there’s plenty for kids to do. On arrival we found a bad coffee maker and faulty heating, but the staff fixed things quickly and were very friendly.

We stayed in wooden chalet number 21 during our pinkster vacation in Texel. Roompot Kustpark is an affordable option, with green grounds and bungalows in three categories. Parking is always nearby, and in some cases you can park right beside your bungalow. The chalets, location, and pool are excellent, and the park offers different activities and accommodations. There’s a Starbucks self-service coffee machine, bar and restaurant, and a small grocery store in the service area. The restaurant could use more variety. The pizzas are okay but can get boring, so I’d suggest going to de Koog centrum for more choices. The Pollo could suit people who like chicken cuisine.
