The staff were very friendly, and both breakfast and dinner were tasty. The restaurant menu changes daily, with different meat and fish mains. There’s a small pool, a sauna, and other relaxing spa facilities too. It’s a cozy, quiet place in the countryside, 1.5 km from the main road, with natural park and forest walks nearby. It felt far from everything, but suited my business destination, and I felt relaxed there after a busy day. I had a small room since I was traveling alone. I’d recommend it for a weekend, a business trip, or a romantic evening.

We had such a lovely time exploring the woods and the area around this beautiful place. The chocolate they sometimes leave in the room is so good, I just wish there were more! We also used the pool, though in winter it would be nice if it were a little warmer so you could stay in longer. I’m not sure if it’s because the area isn’t very touristy, but there wasn’t a menu in English or another language. It would help guests and waiters if the dinner menu were available digitally in another language, even if it changes daily. We sometimes struggled to translate the exotic ingredients. Hope we can come back soon!

We stayed in the Royal Suite, which was great, with a private patio. It’s on the ground floor, so keep in mind you’ll need to close the curtains for privacy. The rooms, food, and service were all great, and the peaceful setting works for families as well as couples. In summer, this is easily one of the best places to stay in the Netherlands. I’m sure it’s nice in every season. It’s miles ahead of the camping kind of summer holiday people often picture in the Netherlands.

Denise took care of us whenever we needed anything, and I wanted to give her a special mention. I spoke with her a few times, and she has a great future in hospitality. Our stay for my partner’s birthday and some much-needed rest exceeded expectations. The spacious room in our VIP package was clean, and the birthday cards for my wife from the owners and staff were thoughtful. At breakfast, Marleen always greeted us with a cheerful smile, and the freshly prepared food, juices, and hot drinks were excellent. Dinner was outstanding, and chef Ronald deserves congratulations for his creations and the care he put into each dish’s presentation. Laureen, Diederik, and Moritz served us each evening and made us feel welcome. Laureen’s smile was constant and genuine, and Diederik knows everything there is to know about football, especially Euro 2024. A fantastic place in a great location. Congratulations to Boudewijn and Githa van Vilsteren for setting such a high standard for service. Wishing you both lots of success.
