ibis Styles Delft City Centre

It’s a basic hotel, but the room, bed, and shower were fine, and the size was enough. I had one of the smallest rooms and still found it spacious enough for a good night’s sleep. Breakfast was standard, with a few options to suit different tastes, but nothing fancy. The location works well, with the city centre just a few minutes’ walk away. Public transport is easy to access, and if you’re driving, a parking garage is nearby, about a 5-10 minute walk.

The location and cleanliness are the best parts of this hotel. The beds are comfortable, but the rooms are extremely basic and I found the price quite high for what’s offered. The bathroom drain is poorly designed, and water overflows toward the room, so you have to use the supplied floor squeegee to clear it. Lighting is poor and some fixtures don’t work. The furniture is very basic too, with no fridge or desk tables.

We were there in cold, wet weather, and the room never really warmed up. The AC's highest setting is 22.5, which could be higher. The beds were comfortable, and breakfast had plenty of options for a short stay, though less variety than I expected. The hotel is right by the mainline and metro station, and close to the city centre.

The lobby was nice and the location is great, but the art-hotel design went way too far for me. The bathroom mirror was hidden behind a column, so it was basically unusable. There’s no shower door or curtain, and the bedside table is literally made of books. The whole place had the strangest design choices I’ve come across.
