We had a really enjoyable weekend here. The restaurant food was excellent, and they took my gluten intolerance into account for both brunch and dinner. They also offer non-alcoholic wines and bubbles. The hotel and restaurant are lovely, the location is great, the decor is beautiful, and the staff were extraordinary.

The rooms were spotless and nicely decorated. I came away with good memories of this gorgeous hotel, and I'll definitely book it again.

The room felt luxurious and the staff were friendly. We chose the two-course lunch, and the chef surprised us. The fish main brought out savory flavors, while the peach and black garlic dessert was an unexpected combination that turned out tasty.

The exclusive fish platter was a letdown. Some of the prawns were raw inside, the tuna had been replaced with tuna salad, and the smoked mackerel didn't taste fresh. I spoke with the waitress, but the only response I got was an apology from the chef. At this price, I'd expect a full selection of fresh fish, properly cooked. I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for value for money.

We enjoyed a multi-course dinner and a drink afterward on the terrace, which had a lovely atmosphere. Our room was comfortable. The hotel sits opposite Deventer's big church and close to the river IJsel, so we had a great time walking around the city center and biking along the river.
