The staff really tried hard, and parking was easy. The location is great, just over the dunes from the sea. We stayed in chalet-style accommodation that was nicely decorated, though a bit dated. The beds were awful and already sagging, and the cleaning lady seemed to be having an off day. When we mentioned it, the manager gave us breakfast for free. With fresh paint on the walls and new beds, it would have been perfect.

Breakfast was excellent, with something for everyone, and the reception and breakfast staff were all very friendly, helpful, and polite. But our room and the hotel didn’t smell very fresh, and the room didn’t look cleaned when we arrived. When we opted out of cleaning, a bag with towels and toilet paper was left outside the door each afternoon. Three days, three bags. When we did let the cleaners in, the bags were taken away, the beds got fresh linens, but the room itself wasn’t cleaned. The hotel is more or less right on the beach, which looks lovely at first, but a road runs right past it. There was a lot of noise until late at night and again early in the morning. There was also dog poop along the path to the beach, left by dogs and their owners. That isn’t the hotel’s fault, the owners are responsible. The town is quite expensive, so you have to decide for yourself if it suits you. I prefer somewhere quieter. I’d gladly return to the Netherlands, but next time I’d choose a different, somewhat quieter place.

We’ve been coming to this lovely hotel for years. Rik, the former owner, completely renovated it in 2005 and ran it with real passion and dedication for 15 years. He even brought a delicious breakfast to guests’ rooms every morning. It now belongs to the Strandhotel Domburg along with the Hotel Wilhelmina, and breakfast is served at the Strandhotel next door. It’s still very tasty, with everything you could wish for, and the staff are friendly and helpful. There are several parking spaces right beside the hotel. Some rooms are still being renovated and updated. I hope the unique charm of the place stays.

We really enjoyed our room, which had a kitchenette, a small living room, a separate sleeping area, a nice bathroom, and a little balcony. The hotel is very clean 👍 Breakfast is brought to your door. It’s only 10 meters from the beach and a two-minute walk to the town center. A great hotel with just a small number of rooms.
