A good option for groups of ten or more. There are a few animals and some toys for the kids, too.

We had a lovely stay in a peaceful, attractive setting. The farmhouse is spacious and bright, and there’s plenty for people to enjoy outside: a little terrace, pond, trampoline, play area, chickens, and horses. Some maintenance could use more attention. The owner even mailed us a few things we’d left behind, which was great service.

The place has a lovely veranda and sits on a large property on the edge of Dwingeloo. But the house is in poor shape. There was a bad sewer smell, unpainted window frames, cracks in the bathroom, broken lights, and showers that wouldn’t stay at a comfortable temperature. The beds and blackout blinds were very poor, so we couldn’t get a decent night’s sleep. At the end of our week the owner was away, and his family partied loudly late into the night. I can’t recommend it.

We’d all happily come back. The owner was easy to deal with, and having a BBQ delivered ahead of time was no problem. The big rooms stayed comfortably warm thanks to the underfloor heating, and everything was clean. The cottages and kitchens had all the equipment we needed. We also liked how the interior style carried through outside. The rooms were better cared for and more atmospheric than we expected. We all agreed it was the perfect place for our party.
