We spent one day cycling and another walking through the forest and Heide. It’s a very picturesque spot. We had a really pleasant night away with friends, with a delicious dinner and lovely gastvrijheid on the terrace and in the bar. The staff were so friendly. Our room felt a little dated, but the bed was very comfortable, and the walk-in shower was hot and came with lovely Rituals products. There was secure storage for our road bikes. The town and hotel were both gorgeous.

The restaurant food was really good. Our room didn’t quite match the quality shown in the photos, though the facilities worked fine. Breakfast choices were limited, but the price was very affordable, so that seemed fair.

It’s a wonderful little old hotel, and the service was kind and friendly. Try the house beer, it was a pleasant surprise. Best sleep I’ve had in weeks, thanks to a perfect mattress. It’s the best place I’ve stayed in the Netherlands.

Room 7 is on the second floor, with a really nice view of the church from the window. The place is quiet and right in the center. I stayed April 6-7,2024. The staff are all nice, and you should try their 1662 beer. I’d recommend staying here.
