The bathroom area was the highlight for us, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. Our room had an old fashioned theme and felt a little dated, but it was clean and cosy. Reception was polite and suggested some extra things to do nearby. And don’t forget to pick up your duck before heading to the room 🤣. Breakfast was in a quiet area, with basic continental options that tasted good. We’ve stayed at plenty of hotels in the Netherlands, and this one gave us exactly what we paid for. We’ll be back.

The restaurant breakfast was a real highlight, with fresh orange juice, lots of choices, and eggs made to order, boiled, scrambled, fried or as an omelette. I’d happily stay again and recommend it. The reception team all spoke English and were very friendly, so settling in was easy. When they found out I’d rented a car, they gave me coins to get out of the car park. They also lent me a charging adapter for my US plugs. ReeHorst is a really good hotel for me. I’m not hard to please and know how to get by wherever I go.

The check-in took a while, and breakfast wasn’t quite up to standard. The room was a good size and had what I needed, though it wasn’t especially large. The shower was a single one. There’s a nice playroom, and the other facilities are pleasant too.

The reception staff were incredibly nice, and we loved the huge TV in our classic room. The hotel has a grand feel, even though nearly everything is old.

By Dutch hotel standards, this is still a good place. A couple of small things could be better: there was no welcome drink or tea, and the WC lighting is so weak that it feels too dark.
