The location made it easy to get to the dunes on either side of the village, and the beach entrance is right by the start of the shopping area. You can get a ticket for the dune reserve at the bookshop on the square. We had a good stay: everything was clean and looked after, and the beds were comfortable.

Egmond is a beautiful town, and the apartment was ideally placed, 100 meters from the beach and 50 meters from town. There was a parking spot, locked at night. Wendy and Miriam were friendly and accommodating, and the modern accommodation was very well maintained and clean. One small tip for Alkmaar: Johan Schilder is a fish shop with really delicious food at very good prices.

We felt at home in the modern, nicely furnished apartment. The stairs up to the first floor are quite steep in some apartments, so that's something to bear in mind, though it didn't cause us any trouble. Four Seasons Egmond is right in the center, with shops and restaurants close by, and the sea is about a five-minute walk away. It was a lovely spot for relaxed walks on the beach, and we'd happily recommend it for a quiet holiday in Egmond.

Wendy is a wonderful host, really hard to beat. Between the apartment, its central spot, and how close it is to the sea, the trip was well worth it. Egmond, 4 seasons, a love affair.

Our hostess offered us a free upgrade, and the larger apartment with a terrace turned out to be really great. The garage was secure and easy to use, even with an expensive car. Everything we needed was there apart from a hairdryer. I did find €12.50 for a large bed sheet excessive. We had originally booked the small apartment on the street, where the kitchen, living room, and bedroom were all in one room. Otherwise, no complaints.
