Hotel De Vassy

Such a friendly hotel, with top service.

The bathroom had a fresh renovation and a nice sliding door, though the shower was open on one side. Water ended up across much of the floor, and even splashed toward the room if its door was left open, since the shower opening faced it. Other rooms we've stayed in here worked better, so perhaps this layout couldn't be avoided in that room. We had a first-floor balcony with a direct lighthouse view and a little sea in sight. The hotel is close to the beach and an easy walk into town. Breakfast was good and the team very friendly. Our room had two small chairs, a side table, bedside tables with outlets nearby, and a wardrobe. I missed having a mirror near an outlet for doing my hair when the bathroom was occupied, but that was minor. The beds felt too soft to us, though that's personal preference. We always feel at home at De Vassy and would happily stay again.

The breakfast spread was generous, and the staff there were just as helpful and friendly as the rest of the team. You could feel a positive atmosphere among them. Any special requests were handled quickly. We felt at home at de Vassy from the start. The welcome was unusually warm, and within minutes we had both our room and a parking ticket. The room was clean and modern, and everyone was kind and ready to help.
