Sea Bass

We had a lovely, peaceful stay in this clean cottage for two, right on the beach with a sea view. We'd gladly return. A gate at the top of the stairs could be useful.

Flat Fish is beautifully furnished, and the location is fantastic. The house is very nice and has a sea view. A couple of things need attention: the toilet's water-saving flush button hasn't worked for a year, so only the full flush is available. The patio door lock doesn't catch properly either, and unless you lock it, the wind blows the door open.

The view from the Shrimp apartment is sensational, and the location is excellent. The office was quick to help with defects, and communication was friendly. It's well maintained, with repairs having been made over time, though some parts feel dated: the ventilation is noisy, the balcony faucet drips and needs urgent attention, there's a hole above the kitchen light, the wooden entry doors are dented, and some window and door hooks are broken. One drawback is the dovecote in the neighboring house. Pigeon droppings regularly end up on the balcony, though wire protection is in place in many spots. A reading chair by the upstairs bedroom window would be nice, and cake forks would be handy too. Still, I'd recommend it.

We stayed in the Crab apartment at Zeeparel and had a fantastic holiday. The beach is right outside, the dunes are just around the corner, and the charming town center is an easy walk away. The apartment is lovely, with a stunning sea view. What more could you ask for?
